Let me tell you the lawyer I spoke to about my situation being attacked by a cop was disrespectful, rude and didn't give 2 craps about it! He said sounds like no damage done WHAT?! Then kept saying he had to go and hung up!!!!! ENCOURAGING POLICE BRUTALITY! UNREAL!

If you've got time and $ to waste,hire Darryl Smith. Foresmost,I have much respect for attorneys with professionalism and ethics.However,by the time you finish reading this document,you will see that attorney Darryl Smith is not one of them.This is one of the reasons I have documented my interactions with him as evidence,in the form of text screenshots,emails,and phone recordings.Unfortunately, I could not body cam video record some of his wrongdoings,due to the fact that he never met me in person ever.My experience as a client of his,showed me that he does not have the best interest of the client at heart.Mr.Smith mislead me from the beginning and through out my case due to his lack of integrity.I feel robbed of my $1400 retainer fee due to his negligences as follow:Unethical-intentionally gives me false information.I have told him of my decision to not plead to the charge.For no civil suit would be possible for civil rights violations after the misdemeanor criminal case is over.Despite him knowing that I cannot sue if I take the plea deal,he exhorts me to take it.My new criminal defense lawyer and other lawyers also agree that he gave me bad counsel.Him mentioning to me that he has done civil suits before,shows he knew better.Incompetent/Deceptive-He misled me by claiming I got a civil suit for Intentional Infliction Of Emotional Distress against the retailer.According to Florida 's impact rule on Emotional distress cases,I would have to have been physically injured too,in order to file this claim.He has done many Personal injury cases before so he knew this fact and chose not to tell me. I found out about the impact rule by other lawyers instead of my own lawyer.The fact is, I can only file a civil suit for civil rights violations due to police misconduct.Had I hearkened to his bad advice to take the plea deal,I would not have been eligible to pursue this civil suit after my criminal case is over.Uncooperative-Counsel did not send me plea deal paperwork despite my request.In addition,he did not want to cooperate with my private investigator which would have put my case in a better position to win at trial.He left me in the dark.Even the police report discovery,he did not furnish a copy to me early on in the case. Only towards the end of our client-attorney relationship,he finally emails me a copy of the police report. Bad Character-Also he is a pathological liar and I have evidence providing it.This Florida bar ethics breaking attorney,said he will give me a copy of the video discovery and did not keep this promise either.He also mentioned that I would sit with him to "come up with a game plan in my defense.Will follow up and keep you posted".He never came through with this.The video was the cream of the crop for proving my innocence but Mr.Smith dropped the ball. My private investigator and family also agree that he just wanted to rush and plea deal my case close.The client has the right to go to trial even if their lawyer repeatedly behave in a manner to discourage the client.Also, I emailed him detailed pages of the truth of the incident. Yet, he never responded to me to show what portion and how he would use it in my defense.He left me hanging,so I felt alone the whole time.I never felt like he was with me,just in hiding at a long distance.If he had told me truth,in that I will never see him face to face,I would have never retained him.He was a perfect example of a ghost attorney,sending others in his place who weren't as knowledgeable.Bad Counsel- I was the victim of the misdemeanor crime of Simple Assault.The perpetrator was the only one that was suppose to be arrested.However,due to the amount of money Walmart(perpetrators' employer) donates to APD,the cop falsely arrested me instead.I expressed to Darryl Smith that I would like to press charges on her.The Simple Assault Statues Of Limitation was for 1 yr at that time.Pressing charges could have been done the same year of incident but he gave me bad advice(to not pursue charges,to wait until after my case is resolved).What helps ur case,he will object.

This firm appointed Rosa to my sons case and was ongoing for a year and a half, now that we are at pre trial hearings she drops a bomb that’s she leaving the firm and mind you never answered any phone calls or questions we had the entire time on the case, we’re from CT so didn’t know any better and just went with the flow my son is 24years old and is facing some real serious charges, I won’t wish this firm on my worst enemy!!! Half of the 10K paid down the drain with no results at all not even an offer almost two years later….and to make matters worst they came to court today because I had a death in the family and couldn’t make my last 3 payments and withdraw themselves off the case, after I spoke to their paralegal Isabella this past Monday saying I would make two payments on Friday once I got paid. Definitely not a firm for the people RUN pass this firm I promise you won’t regret it!!!!!!! Horrible Horrible Firm Please Share People Deserve to know the truth about them!! The only reason for the one star I wasn’t able to upload this review without picking a star, but NO Stars this firm has red flags all over it💔

No los conozco porque he llamado muchas veces y jamás me han devuelto la llamada. Me atienden, me toman los datos y me dicen que espere su llamada pero no la hacen. Ya estoy buscando otros.
